چکیده
Secondary prophylaxis is essential to reduce the adverse cardiovascular outcomes post revascularization in coronary heart disease (CHD). P2Y12 inhibitors (i.e. clopidogrel, prasugrel, or ticagrelor) are effective for this purpose; however, guidelines which inhibitor prescribe differ according patient’s clinical characteristics, and trends their utilization not well studied real-world setting. The objective of study determine prescription patterns CHD patients. We utilized a retrospective cohort design using MarketScan Commercial Claims Database (2013-2018). included patients prescribed within 14 days index compare newer ticagrelor, prasugrel) with clopidogrel. In longitudinal cross-sectional trend analyses, we performed Cochrane-Armitage test see if there was significant change (at p=0.05) between three months' prevalence these agents from year 2013 2018. Among 92,734 identified patients, observed continuous decreased clopidogrel 65.5% 43.9% 2018; whereas ticagrelor use increased 13.6% 45.6%, replaced as most medication high bleeding risk, although decreasing, (50.6%) remained 12.0% 40.1% Additionally, (77.8%) preferred among stroke history. Importantly, prasugrel continued lose market-share time. found all time at p=0.05. Ticagrelor over years our data sample exceeded market share cases, that American Heart Association were reflected practice.

متن کاملEvaluation of Apolipoprotein A5 Polymorphism in Coronary- Heart Disease Patients
Background and Objectives: Apolipoprotein A5 (APOA5) gene is important in determining plasma triglyceride levels, a major cardiovascular disease risk factor. Mutation in this gene affected plasma triglyceride level. We looked for possible associations of the APOA5 gene polymorphism S19W with coronary heart disease (CHD) in a sample of Iranian population. Materials and Methods: A total of 7...
